The purpose of Westerly Area Rest Meals WARM Inc is to prevent or alleviate homelessness by providing a continuum of care and service to the homeless and needy, and to help them build self-esteem and move toward independent and responsible living. The shelter has beds for 13 males and 6 females. WARM is a safe,drug and alcohol free facility . Residents are assisted in legal issues; job readiness workshops; referrals for medical care; referrals for counseling; transportation; clothing and three meals a day. Transitional housing has 5 bedrooms with a shared kitchen and living room for participants. Each person pays 30% of their income and are required to volunteer within the shelter.
