Bark in the Park Dog Walk 2011
Dear Friends,
Pictured at right are our rescued dogs, Bear—in classic black—and Buster. These guys are just two of the many thousands of animals that have found loving, forever homes through the hard work and dedication of people like the good folks at the Delaware County SPCA. And because thousands more homeless and unwanted animals will show up at the shelter again this coming year, Marcia and I are once again in fund-raising mode. We hope you’ll help.
I’m happy to report that just since last year’s appeal, adoption rates have soared thanks to better community outreach and improvements in customer service. We now offer low-cost veterinary care that makes it easier for owners to keep their pets. Thanks to a dynamic staff and corps of dedicated volunteers and board members, even the atmosphere of the shelter has improved.
In 2012 we will become a true rescue organization, dedicating a major part of our efforts to attacking the root causes of animal overpopulation. Our goal is straightforward, if not easy to attain. We want to get past the days when healthy, lovable animals like Bear and Buster are euthanized. Please help us reach that goal.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support these fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who might want to donate too.
