Help push me over the edge in a rappel off a twenty-one story skyscraper in Philadelphia--and help our country's future leaders.
I've signed on to support Philadelphia Outward Bound, which teaches Leadership, Character, and Service through outdoor adventure. I'm a board member, and I go to as many course graduations as I can manage, because when these young people--mostly high schoolers--come off course they have a new appreciation for what's possible. The lessons they learn about selflessness and hard work have a direct impact on their lives. Years ago my wife, Marcia, asked one young man how his life had been changed by his OB experience. He said, "I used to be lazy; now I'm not." Talk about clarity.
Many of our students cannot afford OB on their own, thus the fund-raising. If you send me Over the Edge, I'll send you photos of the adventure.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to support our young people and push me over the edge.
