Butterflies for Rebekah
February 17, 1981 ~ November 19, 2011
"I only ask to be free. The butterflies are free." -Charles Dickens
In honor of Rebekah, and the struggle she so bravely fought, her family has created this page to carry on what we believe she would have wanted, to raise awareness and help others with the same struggles.
All monetary gifts will be donated, in Rebekah's name, to the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA). Because eating disorders research, outreach and treatment is one of the most under funded causes in the United States, and because eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness, we are asking for your help in supporting such a worthy and needed organization.
We also encourage you to leave messages to Rebekah. One day they will be shared with her precious daughter, Emma.
Every dollar raised in her name is a chance to save a life, a butterfly continuing her legacy of compassion and grace. Please help.
"Just living is not enough," said the butterfly, "one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower." -Hans Christian Anderson
