Ed Kelly's Page (for victims of the 2013 bombings)
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page to benefit The Martin W. Richard Charitable Foundation! Running this year's marathon was a powerful experience, and a former Patriots player likened the energized atmosphere to that of a Super Bowl. The race has been run but the work of building a legacy in Martin's memory has just begun. This one last time I ask you to consider donating.
On April 15th, 2013, innocent 8 yr. old Martin and the many victims of the bombings unleashed into a cheering crowd on Boylston St. didn't have a chance to decide how that day would end.
We all do, though.
This inaugural Team MR8 fundraising emphasizes community building and giving back. Tragedy replaced by can-do spirit and positivity, showing we get back up and move forward. Each donation helps fulfill the mission to honor Martin's message of "No more hurting people - peace" by investing in education, athletics, and community. Learn more about this 501(c)3 charity (EIN:352491896) at www.TeamMR8.org.
My nephew is a schoolmate of Jane Richard at NHCS, where Martin attended. Jane, an Irish step dancer, lost her lower leg while alongside her brother near the marathon finish line. Remembering all the survivors, I'm honored to have run for Team MR8 and appreciate your help...every dollar counts! Your HR department can confirm if your employer offers a donation matching benefit, which can double your donation!
This leading website for charities is simple, fast and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support - and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
To all the good works that donations like yours will make possible,
