 My name is Edward and I am a type one diabetic. I was diagnosed when I was 11 years old. I'll leave out the details of how I handled the news, but I was scared. My sister was diagnosed when she was 8 years old. She attended a camp where other children with diabetes would go and spend a week learning about diabetes and spending time with each other. This camp is called Camp Seale Harris. I soon became a part of this camp family. It's now been 11 years since I was diagnosed and I am still a part of this family. I have been a camper...a CIT...and am now a counselor. My sister and I both work as counselors at this amazing place to help other kids with diabetes cope and teach diabetes management so that they can avoid complications or any other problems they may have throughout their life.

 Camp costs when my sister and I attended camp was 25$...Every spot was full...and there was a waiting list for other campers to join. Due to the failing economy charitable causes have taken a mighty hit and now camp costs up to 600$ for ONE kid to come to camp. Due to this out ragious price there is no longer a waiting list, and we are struggling to fill each cabin with campers.

 Here is where you come in. If you could donate any amount of money the camp would really appreciate it. Your money will help send a child to camp.
