My sister has two children with Autism.  My niece, who is in high school, has Asperger's Syndrome.  My nephew, the namesake of The Chase Academy, has PDD-NOS.

Together, my sister and I, worked for 3 long years to bring The Chase Academy to life.  Of course, this effort depended on a lot of other community members over the years as well, and we were blessed with a "dream team" that finally pushed it over the hump and into realization.  The Chase Academy is the FIRST school in Volusia County, FL that was designed specifically for children with Autism. Our ribbon cutting was in August 2009, and was done by the South Daytona Mayor, Blaine O'Neal.  There were several other political dignitaries in attendance too, and there was not a dry eye in the room.  Everyone was so excited and proud for that moment to have arrived.

Still ~ that was only the beginning.  In order for the Academy to thrive, it needs significant financial contribution.  That is where you come in.  You can become a part of the miracle for the over 1200 families in Volusia County that have a child with Autism.

The Academy needs curriculum resources, computers and software, and scholarship money.  As enrollment increases, the Academy will need to hire more teaching staff.  And then there are the mundane items that go with running a business like insurance, licenses, rent, printer cartridges, postage and more.

As a friend always says, "Pennies make dollars!"  Please share whatever you can.  It will make the difference in the life of a child.
