As many of you know, I was very close to my dear Uncle and I spent much time enjoying time with him in good times and in bad. We talked about anything and everything and so, as his health began to take a turn for the worse, we discussed how he wanted to die. He didn't want to suffer anymore and wanted to go peacefully.     

Hospice of the North Shore was there for him and my family. Being by his side in a room filled with memories, pictures, and family, helped him to feel at rest and allowed us to say our goodbyes. It was the most profound experience in my life.
