As the proud parents of a child "On the Spectrum" we know the value of the programs offerd by organizations such as SE Special Rec.

In 2007, our son Daniel was diagnosed with PDD-NOS. As he grew and developed, along with the assistance of so many gifted and talented therapists, Daniel's diagnosis was modified in 2009 to Verbal Apraxia; a neurological speach disorder that is often accompanied with developmental delays and muscle weakness.

Daniel has been progressing well over these past years and while his language is still emerging it is essential to build his selfesteem. SECREC offfers a host of programs that enable Daniel and children like him to meet, interact, form friendships and grow as individuals.

Please feel free to join our team, the "Hypothermic Clovers" as we brave the elements and take a dip in the cold waters of the Long Island Sound on March 10th 2012.
