Elizabeth Hiltabidel's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
I am a nurse that has chosen the specialty of WOUND OSTOMY CONTINENCE NURSING. I love my specialty and have been blessed to work with the most amazing and unique patients ever!
One of my greatest achievements is being a part of the YOUTH RALLY, a summer program for kids ages 11-17 with bowel and/or bladder dysfunction. This is the most amazing program that has changed the lives of hundreds of kids throughout the country.
Kids with bowel and bladder problems often feel very ALONE and isolated. We live in a society that doesn't openly discuss bowel and bladder issues and this makes it very hard for kids that have health problems related to their bowel or bladder. Talking about a heart transplant is pretty cool but telling someone about your poop being diverted is a stinky subject!
Most of the kids that attend RALLY have never met anyone with similar health problems. During RALLY they can finally openly talk about concerns, experiences and questions related to their bowel and bladder conditions. They listen and learn. No shame, no pressure, no worries about being teased and finally others that REALLY can relate to them!
YOUTH RALLY is the most amazing program I have ever seen. Please take the time to check out our website www.rally4youth or view the video.
YOUTH RALLY is run completely from donations. We never turn a child away because they can't afford the camp. The costs are $425 per child which includes food, lodging and anything else needed during the program. We also will support transportation to and from camp as needed.
This is a GREAT cause and one that changes the lives of kids! I am asking for your help. There is no amount that is too small or too large! So please consider supporting this program. I personally guarantee that your donations will go directly towards making a difference in the lives of the campers!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
