The Mascoli Family is building the first Nationally Registered Green Home of its kind in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.  We love our community so much that we decided to build GREEN right where we have been for 15 years.   As part of our efforts to teach our community about living GREEN we have decided to join the Passaic River Coalition in its conservation efforts in our own back yard.

The Passaic River Coalition is focussed on protecting  our drinking water, preserving wildlife habitat, improving water quality, creating new open usable spaces and promoting natural methods of flood control.  In Fair Lawn the river is our back yard.  Improving the condition and quality of of the water in the Passaic River would allow us as a community to actively use the river for recreational boating and fishing. 

The Passaic River is used a resource for not just our drinking water, but for our Memorial and Walsh Pools.  These are great sources for summer recreation for many Fair Lawn families like our own.  Improving the quality of the source will offer great peace of mind for parents with small children like us.
