Thank you for visitng my fundraising page!
I have had the pleasure of being a part of Vail Place now for two years, and I feel incredibly grateful that I have found such a wonderful organization to be a part of.
Vail Place provides recovery-oriented support services to help people manage their mental illness, live self-sufficiently in the community, and stay out of the hospital – all vital components on their road to recovery...and what a difference we make for people who have a serious mental illness.
Sanford has a reason to get out of bed everyday;
Tonda finished school and has a part time job for the first time in over a year;
Ed got a home so he and his cat, Rusty, could quit living in his car.
Christine works full time. And she bought a house and adopted a child.
As an investor in Vail Place, you should know that our services are both effective and cost efficient. We have strong, measurable outcomes in housing, employment, and in the improvement of people’s mental health. It costs Vail Place about $5.60 a day per person served. Compare that with the cost of one day of psychiatric hospitalization - $2,600 a day. What’s more, the hospitalization rate for Vail Place members is reduced by 88 percent! What a return on your investment!
Friends and family, please help by sponsoring me as I roll & stroll around Lake Calhoun on July 16, 2011. My goal is to raise $1,000! Please help me meet this goal! Better yet, if you'll be in the Minneapolis area on July 16th, you can be a part of the event and join my team and together we can raise money!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. If you would rather pay by check, make it out to Vail Place and send it to me by mail.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
