BMT InfoNet was founded in 1990 by bone marrow transplant survivor Stewart as a newsletter with a mailing list of several hundred. Today, it is one of the premiere organizations and websites for all transplant information, and provides up-to-date medical information including a directory of transplant programs in the U.S. and Canada; a database of drugs used to treat transplant patients; easy access to their books (the two books penned by Stewart are known as the "bibles" for transplant patients, survivors and their loved ones. We serve over 100,000 patients and receive from 750,000 to 1,000,000 "hits" per month on our website. Obviously the need for support is growing."
