Running Strong for American Indian Youth

Team Running Strong in the 2009 Marine Corps Marathon Washington ,  District of Columbia

Elysia Whisler's Fundraising Page

The race is over! The 2009 Marine Corps Marathon was not only my first marathon, but my first race.  It was one of the best experiences of my life.  Unsure of what to expect, I took it slow and steady and finished at 4:28!  Training for and running the marathon was an amazing experience of dedication and discipline, but what made it all worth it was being part of Team Running Strong and meeting the legendary Billy Mills! He is a true warrior, humanitarian and gentleman and I'll always treasure the time I spent talking with him.

Thank you all for supporting me.  If you're new to the site, it's open to accept donations through December! Please support American Indian Youth -- it's the best cause out there.

Mahalo nui loa!
