As you may or may not know, last year my friends & family worked tirelessly every Saturday at the AYSO soccer fields in Thousand Oaks to raise awareness & funds for Alex's Lemonade Stand.
Alex's Lemonade Stand was set up by a 4 year old cancer patient named Alex Scott (1996-2001) who decided to hold a lemonade stand in her front yard to raise money so her doctors could find a cure. Alex's courage and selflessness has been an inspiration to me & my friends. Her efforts have started a nationwide movement that has raised millions of dollars to fight this awful disease.
Last year we raised close to $1,700.00 thanks to your generous support, we have even helped children in our very own community get the treatments they need to fight their cancer.
This year I am turning the big 2-5... that's right people, I will now be 1/4 of the way to 100. It is my goal this year to raise the stakes a bit... this year we are hoping to raise even MORE for these kids battling cancer day in & day out.
As 25 is quite a big number, I have decided that this year's goal will be $2,500.00 ... Call me ambitious, call me crazy, but whichever you decide please dig deep into your pockets and donate whatever you can to help these kids fight the good fight.

-Childhood cancer is one of the most underfunded diseases in the United States.
-An estimated 12,000 children will be diagnosed with cancer in the United States this year, about 2,500 will not survive.
