Hello family, friends, and generous hearts! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! :)

In June 2010, I'll be participating in a month-long nursing internship with the nonprofit Child Family Health International in Cape Town, South Africa at a maternity hospital. Initially, I'll be bringing medical supplies to the hospital. However, most of the time will be spent learning and assisting with patient care in the hospital and observing the workings of the South African healthcare system. I'm super excited since it's an amazing opportunity to get real-world nursing experience! :D Plus, it'll be a lot of fun since the World Cup of Soccer is being held in South Africa that summer! Unfortunately, this fabulous experience comes with a less than fabulous price tag. : \  I'm aiming to raise $2,035, which will cover my room, board, medical supplies, and the other program costs for the month. I'm still figuring out my air fare, but I can probably cover that from the money I've made working at my nursing internship here in Sacramento. :) But really, anything you can donate helps a lot!
