I am doing this because Lupus has been in my family for generations. My grandmother died of Lupus when she was in her 30's. My sister died of Lupus when she was 33, leaving behind her 11 year old son. On my 15th birthday I was told that I have Lupus and many years later my brother was diagnosed with Lupus. This chronic disease has been in my family long enough. Lupus needs a voice. A loud voice. We need progress in treating Lupus patients and more research is needed so that one day a cure can be found. Research is the key to getting the answers we need. This fundraiser is for research and future treatment of  Lupus patients.
