Mission: We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing, fostering and finding homes for companion animals in the San Francisco Bay Area. United and inspired by our compassion for all animals, we focus our talents on saving unadopted dogs and cats destined to be euthanized in Bay Area shelters. Each rescued animal is provided veterinary attention, including examination, immunizations and spay/neuter. Then the rescued dog or cat is placed into one of our safe haven foster homes where he receives lots of TLC and basic family member training. Most of our dogs and cats are well behaved and are ready for adoption. A few may need special care to recuperate from medical, mental or physical neglect/abuse; or to regain their confidence and trust in people.

Programs: Furry Friends Rescue offers a Guardian Assist program to help you find and place your beloved dog or cat into a new forever home if circumstances of your life require it. We also have Pet Showcases every weekend so our adoptable dogs and cats can meet the public. We educate children on how to meet dogs/cats in a positive way. We always encourage vaccination/spay/neuter of all companion animals.
