The Empowering Lives Walk-A-Thon, held on January 27th, 2007 at APU in Azusa, CA will raise funds for orphans and vulnerable children in East Africa (Kenya, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Southern Sudan).
Together, we can help provide food, clothing, shelter, education, and spiritual growth for hundreds of children in need. Most people in East Africa live on less than a dollar a day, struggling for their most basic needs. AIDS is killing more than 600 people every day in Kenya alone, devastating families, communities, and leaving countless children orphaned.
ELI is dedicated to sharing the love of God in East Africa and providing people with the skills necessary to support themselves and feed their families. Throughout the past 10 years, this ministry has effectively started several training centers and health programs that are combating AIDS, helping orphans, reaching out to alcoholics, and teaching agriculture and business, all while pointing people to the hope of Christ.
Our family is going to walk to support these life-changing ministries, We want to invite you to sponsor us by making an investment that will help meet the spiritual and physical needs of people around the world.
Donating through this site is simple, fast, and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts. This is a walk for good! Please join us in giving so that others can simply live and hear the good news of God's love.
