On August 12, 2012 I will happily take on the scenic course of the Falmouth Road Race, running as a member of the Joe Andruzzi Foundation. I am very excited to have the opportunity to run this race for an organization that has given so much back to the community.

Over the past 5 years I have watched all the lives that the Joe Andruzzi Foundation has changed, and am consistently amazed at the amount of people who are touched by their extraordinary efforts. The mission of the Joe Andruzzi Foundation: "The Joe Andruzzi Foundation is tackling cancer's impact by providing financial assistance for patients and their families as well as funding pediatric brain cancer research."

Just as many families around the world have been touched by cancer, I too have lost my Grandma O'Brien, my childhood hero to cancer. I will be running this race not only in her memory, but also in memory of all those past/present who have waged the war against this awful illness.
