2011 Polar Plunge

Thank you for visiting my Polar Plunge fundraising page.  I'm collecting donations from friends, family, co-workers, and anyone else who wants to support the nearly 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 4,000 young athletes, ages 2-7, of Special Olympics Illinois!  Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the change to participate in year-round sports training and competition!

To reward your generosity, I am going to join more than 5,150 people statewide who will voluntarily jump into freezing cold water in the middle of winter as we take part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunges for Special Olympics Illinois!

Donating through this site is simple, fast, and totally secure.  It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to the LETR Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois.  Many thanks for your support.

John Scott, Chicago Blackhawks Right Wing, will be taking part in the event by captaining the Plunge Team I have joined!  We will be taking a single plunge at 8am, alongside the dedicated group of SUPER Plungers, who will be nearing the end of their "24 plunges in 24 hours" effort!

Again, thank you for your support!
