I've wanted to be a member of Rotary for a long time, so signing up was a simple decision. As a member of the world's largest service organization, I support Rotary International's mission of service to humanity and the children of the world. That's why I helped create Rotary Walk, and that's why I'm walking to raise money for Polio Plus, Rotary's worldwide effort to eradicate polio.

Now you might be wondering why it's important to support this cause. I was wondering the same thing. Why support a cause that doesn't directly affect me, my friends and family, or even Americans?

Because Rotary International and the Polio Plus project, along with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Health Organization, and the United Nations, have provided you with the opportunity to help a child half way around the world.
