Eric Weaver's Fundraising Page
I've joined a team of people who will be climbing Kilimanjaro in September 2009 to raise awareness and funds for pediatric AIDS. My fundraising goal donation is $10,000 and I am writing you to ask you to help me reach my goal.
We've all heard that cliche "for the price of a cup of coffee a day, you can... ". So, I've decided to see if cutting a few things out of my daily life can make a difference to children with AIDS. It is my goal to raise $10,000 over the next 6 months through this experiment and I hope you will join me in my efforts.
I want to see if enough people (and me, of course) can sacrifice a personal luxury once, twice or more, over the next six months - and instead donate the monetary equivalent of said luxury to AFCA - in an effort to help me raise the money. Fo example, at some point over the next few months, instead of buying a cup of coffee, donate $2 to AFCA either through this website or through www.HelpChildrenWithAIDS.org . Or instead of going out for dinner, stay in and donate $30. Add a literal drop in the bucket and save some lives.
Ideas: pass on a cup of coffee or tea for a week. Or, don't buy those potato chips you want. Or, no ice cream for a specific amount of days. Or, donate your time for a job. Or, donate a tax refund. Or, no donuts today! The ideas are countless...join me and let's make a difference!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
Thanks for being part of change,
Eric
