I am a longtime skateboarder (23+ years now), and truly, skateboarding has been a vehicle for me to grow as a person, taking me around the world, meeting amazing people, and eventually starting my own gallery, 1975. Skateboarding can help kids find confidence to do all sorts of great things, which is one of the reasons I am on the board to help Rochester get a proper skatepark.

I am contributing any money that I raise to a young skateboarder (or skateboarders if we raise enough money) that want to skate at this event but weren't able to raise enough funds on their own. The only condition is that the skateboarder proves that they made an effort to reach their goal themselves.

Each skateboarder/BMX rider is asked to raise $100 to be able to skate and meet a professional Skateboarder/BMX rider. In addition, they will receive a free t-shirt and a chance to win a day of getting professional photos taken of them skating with professional skateboarder Zarred Bassett and more! Not a bad deal, especially when this money is going towards the larger effort of getting a park in Rochester

I am hoping that you can spare a minimum of $10 to help the cause . . . getting a world-class skatepark in Rochester, NY!
