My agency (formerly AIDS Rochester, Inc.) has gone through some major changes since last year's AIDS Walk---we've moved to a new location, merged with another organization and grown to nearly double our size to become a fabulous new organization:  AIDS CARE!!  Despite these amazing changes, however, the need for the community to financially support the agency's amazing work has never been greater; and that's why Jason and I are doing the AIDS WALK again!!

This will be my and Jason's 7th AIDS Walk together.  Why do we walk every year? We walk....

.....because this issue, and agency, are important to us.

.....because WE are able to; while so many others cannot.

.....because it is a fitting tribute to the lives of those lost and those who carry on  the struggle.

.....because HIV & AIDS continues to have its deepest impact on those who are most marginalized and stigmatized:  LGBT people, young people, people of color, those impacted by drugs, and the poor.

.....because HIV & AIDS has had, and continues to have, a profound impact on my and Jason's daily lives.

.....and because we firmly believe that AIDS has an impact on ALL lives---and will continue to do so unless we each do something to support the struggle.

 

What can WE do to help?  We can walk!
