Dear Friend,

In February, HCRHS Habitat will be participating in Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build Work Day program. Along with other Habitat volunteers, we will be helping to build a modest home for a hard-working, low-income family in our region.

Decent, affordable housing is scarce in Somerset and Hunterdon counties, forcing many low-income families to live in overcrowded, unsafe conditions. The Women Build program challenges women to build a better future for the children of central New Jersey by addressing the problem of substandard housing. By participating in Women Build, I will be giving other women and their families a “hand up” by helping them to build a home of their own.

With your help, we hope to make a real difference in the lives of a local family. Our personal goal is to raise $50/person, and a total of $600 for all 12 participants. The Women Build Team’s goal is $100,000. Any pledge amount you can offer will be greatly appreciated!
