Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.

In July, a group of Jacob's Well youth will be heading to Arkansas to Heifer Ranch, a learning center of Heifer International. As their website says:

"The purpose of a learning center is to transform individuls by providing progressive learning that contributes to a global movement for social change that ends hunger and poverty and cares for the earth."

Part of our learning will come through service. We will be performing needed work at Heifer Ranch with livestock and the CSA they run out of their farm.  Without our volunteer work and help from summer volunteer staff, the ranch would not be able to run or continue teaching about global poverty and hunger issues.

We believe that creation and this life we live are gifts from our loving God. With these gifts come responsibility. Because of this, our goal as a group is to serve and learn over this week-long experience, and then to apply our learning by teaching and leading others (including the communities of Jacob's Well) in working for sustainable solutions addressing local and global hunger, poverty, and environmental concerns. Certainly, this week at Heifer Ranch will empower and equip the youth of Jacob's Well with wisdom for a lifetime of ministry with and for God's creation and creatures!
