The end is nigh. After 20-odd weeks of training, 529 miles, and more blood, sweat, and tears than I can count (mostly sweat), we are less than two weeks away from the Boston Marathon.
This has been an unforgettable experience already, and I'm so grateful to everyone who's helped me make it this far! Four years ago I declared that I'd have to be crazy to run a marathon, and even crazier to try to raise all this money. Yet here we are, in 2010, and it's really going to happen.
To everyone who's given me money, encouraged me when I was worried I wouldn't finish a run, stood in the rain to give me water and pretzels, and to all of those who've run by my side, thank you so much.
If you donated more than $50, you are eligible to have a mile donated in your honor! Let me know down at the blog, below, which one you'd like! I'll let you know if it's out of commission.
If you haven't donated but would like to, there is still time! I can't think of a better cause that I could be running for - helping all kids to get the support they need in school.
Finally, if you want an on the ground view of what this has all been like, check out theredmenaceeats.wordpress.com! Marathon updates every Sunday (or Monday)! This is also where you should let me know what mile you'd like.
See you at the finish line!
