You may already know that I read to a first-grade student once a week, but do you know why?

1. I love reading, and hope to help someone else discover that love.

2. I get to give back to the public school community, which is very important to me. My student's first language is not English, and she doesn't have all of the same opportunities that I did as a kid.

3. It's fun! Six year olds are amazingly hilarious.
