Pedalin' For PSC
I’m a cyclist always looking for adventure. I enjoy self-supported rides and challenging routes. I’m married to a beautiful woman who is suffering from a rare form of liver disease called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, commonly known as PSC. Her liver is slowly failing and she will need a new liver at some point in her life.
To help raise awareness for PSC I'm going to ride the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route as fast as I can starting June 10th. The route is 2745 miles long, starting in Canada and ending in New Mexico. The route crosses the Continental Divide 29 times with over 200,000 feet of climbing. I'll be riding the route completely self-supported. Carrying all of my own camping gear and having to get my own food and supplies along the route. Just me and my Salsa Fargo Ti (Rocinante).
You will be able to follow along with my progress on my blog FrontageRoads.com and see where I am thanks to my SPOT tracker.
My fundraising goal is $10,000. Yeah, that's a lot of money but I know, with your help, we can reach this goal. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. Your sponsorship means more money for the research that is necessary for finding a better treatment for PSC. Please consider the following sponsorship levels.
Titanium......$500
Carbon........$250
Steel............$100
Aluminum......$50
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too.
