Dear Friends and Family,
I am the Executive Director for Camp Happy Days' our mission is to offer support and encouragement to children diagnosed with cancer and thier families by providing cost free year round programs. Our flagship program is a weeklong camp for kids wih cancer and their siblings, ages 4-16 in Sumter, SC at Camp Bob Cooper.
Children have the opportunity to participate In all types of "camp" activities such as: Outward Bound type programs, a myriad of water sport activities, art, painting, sculpture, cooking and yoga. The week long thematic camp also incudes a prom, talent show and much more.
Camp is our largest, most exciting event and is something that these children look forward to all year. Children with cancer who are unable to attend a traditional sumer Camp are thrilled by the opportunities they will encounter. Each year 160 campers arrive at Camp Happy Days eager to leave the worries of cancer behind and enjoy a week filled with fun, new friends and unlimited possibilities. For these children, who often feel isolated and alone because of ttheir illness, this week represents a chance to meet and bond with others who know and understand what it's like to have cancer.
We are challenged to raise 100% of the funds we need to support this program. Open your heart and help send a child to camp.
