Okay, you made me raise my fundraising target! Thank you so much to all who have donated so far.
For people new to this page, please help me reach my new goal. We have just 4 days left until the marathon ends on May 1, and nearly $3,000 left to raise, as a group. Will you help us do it? Thank you!!
DRILLS UPDATE:
Week One: I worked daily on my Hand Over Hand drills. So interesting to feel my brain flipping around in my head to find the right "Ess" or "Gees" - phew! I pretty much stuck to quarter note = 52 for safety. No sense in injuring oneself.
Week Two: Function Triangle! I think my family is getting a little sick of hearing me playing and singing "E Major, C# minor, A Major..." But that's too bad. I am so mastering this material. I am getting pretty comfortable with the different voicings, too. The problem comes when I get to the V chord and I can't tell that I'm nearing the end of the progression, so I go too far beyond it and find myself singing "ummm... C double flat diminished...? Where am I, anyway?"

General Information
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for The Walden School's Compose-a-thon, a musicianship marathon to raise money for Walden's fantastic programs.
I decided to participate in this marathon by practicing musicianship drills, including keyboard work, and solfege and rhythm exercises. These are not easy for me, but they really improve my ability to hear harmony and intervals, and make me an all-around better musician. Plus they're fun, in their own musically mind-bending way.
My goal is:
To practice musicianship drills for 15 minutes a day, for a total of 315 minutes.
You could make a donation of $15.75 which is like pledging $.05 per minute. Or $78.75, which is like pledging $.25 a minute.
By supporting my efforts to become a better musician, you can also support The Walden School, a program that uses the best approach for teaching musicianship, hands down.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
