Eva Lerner's "Make It Rain" Campaign
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Inspiration Corporation!
I have worked at Inspiration Corporation for almost a year now assisting people in improving their lives through obtaining meaningful work, going to school and training, and finding resources for housing, medical, and mental health services. To learn more about Inspiration Corporation, visit www.inspirationcorp.org.
I would like to share a story with you about the work that I do at Inspiration Corporation. I first started working with Amanda, pictured right with her daughter, Kiara, and myself, back in April 2011. Amanda came to Inspiration Corporation after having lost her job and becoming homeless. After many months of hard work, I recently had the privilege of helping Amanda and her family move into their new apartment in the beautiful Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago! We are so thrilled about this success, but recognize that the work is still cut out for us. Amanda is still unemployed and actively seeking work, and relies on Inspiration Corporation for the support and resources to help her achieve her career goals. With fewer resources it has become more difficult to provide the services necessary for Amanda to find work, such as bus passes and uniform assistance.
Amanda has come a long way, but still has several barriers. As a Resource Specialist in Inspiration Corporation's Employment Project, I work with over 100 people who are experiencing similar situations to Amanda. As my organization is struggling and as we continue to face budget cuts and lose government funding, I am asking you for help. You can be a part of Amanda receiving the employment she needs to support her family, and support many more remarkable people working hard towards their goals.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
Love,
Eva
