This will be my second Polar Plunge. I am doing the 2012 Polar Plunge in memory of my Uncle Mick who was a Special Olympian for longer than any of us can remember. I got to watch Uncle Mick play some of his basketball games (that was his favorite sport). Uncle Mick did the 2011 Polar Plunge with us before he unexpectedly passed away in June 2011.
My Dad and some of our family from Georgia and some our friends from Michigan are all plunging too. Check out our team, "Korte's Krew," at www.freezinforareason.net.
Please consider making a donation to my Polar Plunge so that Special Olympians all over Michigan can participate in the sports that they love so much. Thank you for visiting my 2012 Polar Plunge fundraising page.
For your reference, here is some additional information about the Polar Plunge:
The Polar Plunge is made possible by the Law Enforcement Torch Run®, a group of police officers and corrections personnel committed to raising funds and awareness for SOMI. Proceeds from the Polar Plunge support the year-round sports training and athletic competition for more than 20,679 children and adults with intellectual disabilities who live in Michigan.
I have committed to support the athletes of Special Olympics Michigan by taking the plunge in 2012. Polar Plunges are a fun and unique way to support Special Olympics Michigan.
Once again thank you for visiting my page and considering making a donation. With your support we can truly make a difference.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
