Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!
The UVM Libraries faculty, staff and student employees maintain a longstanding tradition of chartiable giving during the holidays. This year our collective efforts will be on behalf of the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf which is located in Burlington, VT. They are run by the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity .
The CEFS works to alleviate hunger by feeding people and cultivating opportunities. As the largest direct service emergency food provider in Vermont, CEFS serves over 12,000 people each year. By supporting the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf, you are making an investment in your community.
Food Shelves all accross the country are currently struggling through a period of declining donations and government funding. Let's show our local food shelf what the Libraries' extended family of colleagues and friends are capable of when we work together.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts. Firstgiving will send the money raised by this site directly to the CVOEO's main offices.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
We are new at to this online fundraising thing, so as of now we have not set a specific goal in terms of a total dollar figure. We weren't sure what number would be appropriate. We just hope folks who feel like giving will donate any amount that feels comfortable. Any amount helps!
