Please  consider making a "gift of empowerment" to a Batwa Pygmy mother this Christmas. This December, our lacrosse coach will be celebrating Christmas at a Batwa Pygmy resettlement in Southwest Uganda, and your gift will be personally delivered to a needy Batwa Mother. Through this Christmas Drive and other initiatives, our team is helping sponsor community development projects at a resettlement outside the Bwindi Inpenetrable Rainforest. Our projects include; social entrepreneurism, education, healthcare, AIDS & Malaria awareness as well as introducing the joy of lacrosse to disadvantaged children. Through this page you can buy a Christmas gift for a family in Uganda and dedicate the gift in honor of a loved one. When we receive your donation, we will mail you a "Merry Christmas from Uganda" Christmas card that you can give to a loved one at Christmas. The card will explain your gift.

 

You can select from the following gifts levels;

A live chicken or farmer's seed pack	$ 10
A farmers tool kit or family wardrobe	$ 25
A live goat	$ 50
Mother's empowerment kit (mix of above)	$ 75
Bike with storage rack (important for local entreprenuers)	$100
A new home for a Batwa Family (also employs local workers.) (The home can be built with a sign dedicated in honor of a loved one and a picture mailed back to you with a picture of the family you built the home for.)	$600
*We are also trying to raise larger funds for a health clinic and guest house. Both of which could be dedicated in honor of a loved one or named after your family. If you financed one of these projects we could arrange for a site visit and dedication ceremony in your honor.

Any level of giving is welcome and you do not have to donate the exact amount listed above.

These gifts will benefit an entire community of resettled Batwa Pygmies, but we are intentionally delivering these gifts to Pygmy mothers in an effort to raise awareness to the lack of rights and opportunities for women in marginalized third world communities.  

All these gifts will be bought in the local communities and will have a positive impact aiding the local economy on multiple  levels.
