Isaac del Valle is an amazing 16 year old who has inspired thousands through his courageous battle with leukemia. Diagnosed March 1, 2006, Isaac endured 3 years of harsh treatment. He was in remission for nearly 2 years before his cancer returned. In November 2011, Isaac underwent a bone marrow transplant using his mother's donor cells.
Isaac's journey has been long and arduous. The suffering he endured during and for months after the bone marrow transplant is truly unimaginable. Isaac's courage and strength has been remarkable as he has endured unspeakable physical pain and the kind of emotional suffering that goes with months and months of separation from friends and the loss of cherished high school experiences.
The Fighting for Isaac Team will honor Isaac - his courage and strength and all he has endured - as part of CURE Childhood Cancer's Lauren's Run. We hope the virtual sea of gold "Fighting for Isaac" tshirts on the race course will show Isaac that an army of supporters continues to stand with him. We hope to show him that we are committed to supporting research through our donated dollars to end the disease which has haunted him and stolen so much from him. Please support Fighting for Isaac with your participation and donations!
