Hello Friends and Family,

For the first time ever I am entering a running event in order to raise money to fight for a cause that is very dear to my heart.

 Evin Hazar, the 9 year old daughter of our closest friends', Karen and Bora Hazar,  was recently diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes.  The Hazars seem to be handling it with their usual grace and skill, Evin is still the same bright and bubbly little girl she always was, but their lives have been turned upside down and we want to help in any way we can.

 I will be running the 5.2 mile Turkey Trot in Rye on Saturday November 28th, 2009;  this may not seem like a lot to the runners out there, but it is a giant leap for me!
