Fisher Hall's Fundraising Page
My name is Fisher Hall, I'm 11 and go to Braxton Craven Middle School. Many of you may know I have been doing TaeKwonDo for over 2 years now. Every year my TaeKwonDo school holds a Board-Break-A-Thon. We raise money for the Special Olympics. If you don't know what the Special Olympics are, they offer training and sports competition for people with mental disabilities. People with disabilities often have trouble and need extra help with things that you and I can do. I understand this because I have a brother with Down Syndrome. He was also born with three holes in his heart, two small and one large! One of the holes closed up on its own! The other two were repaired through Open Heart Surgery. He can't talk or walk as good as you and I. Sometimes he blabbers and no one knows what he is saying. He has to wear braces on his feet to keep his ankles from caving in. He can't learn as fast as you and I either. Most people ask me "what is he saying?" when he talks. And most of the time I can tell them word for word what he said. He loves to cheer me on and I can't wait to one day cheer him on in the Special Olympics. I love my brother. He is a talkin‘, walkin' miracle.
The money that you donate will go to the Special Olympics of North Carolina. This allows them to offer training at no cost. This is important because most special Olympians, due to the medical cost they have, or limited income, don't have the extra money to pay for this special training.
Like I said I'm doing this with my TaeKwonDo team, Snyder’s Living Defense Martial Arts. The first year they had the Board-Break-A-Thon I was a yellow belt my goal was to raise $200 and I reached my goal. Last year my goal was $500 and I raised $580. This year I'm a red belt and I'm raising my goal to $700! Please help me reach this goal.
The board-break-a-thon will be held on November 14, from 12:00pm till 2:00pm at Oak Hollow Mall. If you can, please come and watch me break boards!
Please donate if you can, any amount will help.
Thanks, Fisher Hall
