A life is not measured by the time spent on Earth, rather by the lives that person touched.  In four short months Zachary Volkay left his handprints on many of us.  He showed me that courage comes in all sizes, and that life is too precious to take for granted.

If you know me, you know I am not the most fleet of foot.  However, Zachary's story inspired me to train for the Philadelphia Distance Run on September 20, 2009.  I felt it was only fitting to honor Zachary in the city he spent most of his time.

Please honor this little hero and donate to the Ronald McDonald House of Philadelphia, where Zachary's parents stayed while Zachary was receiving care in Philadelphia.
