Our team is called "NY vs Bos-The Rivalry in Motion" We ran the NY Relay race in May and had a blast, but this time we want to do it for a cause. Here is what we are raising $$ for...
HeartSong is an AMAZING organization that provides FREE music & art
therapy program for children with disabilities in Westchester County.
One of our team members sons has autism and attends every Saturday morning and it starts their weekends off right. While the kids are in class the parents are all hanging out and it has become a great support system. However, with the
economy Heartsong is having a rough time and had to cut some services
and let go of some therapists. So they desperately need our
fundraising dollars.
We are looking to raise $5000! $5K will save one therapists job and enable more kids to be eligible for these awesome services !
PLEASE WRITE IN THE COMMENTS FIELD WHICH TEAM MEMBER YOU ARE SUPPORTING!! THE TEAM MEMBER WHO RAISES THE MOST $$ GETS A FREE REGISTRATION FEE INTO THE RELAY!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
If you would like to donate offline, please make out a check to HEARTSONG INC. and mail it to FRANK CAMPAGNA, 35 BORCHER AVE, YONKERS, NY 10704.

Mission
Using music and art in its many forms and styles to nurture a child's emotional, physical, sensory and cognitive development.
Heartsong’s mission is to provide clinically-based music and art therapy programs that seek to enhance the functioning level and quality of life for children with special needs and their families.
Music and art therapy programs traditionally have been offered only in institutions and hospital settings. Heartsong has taken these experiences “outside the walls” to families in need, removing barriers and improving the quality of life for children with special needs and their families, regardless of household resources or income. ‘Children with special needs’ is defined as those who may have one or more delays in physical, sensory, cognitive, speech/language and/or emotional development.
Heartsong is nationally recognized for its program that utilizes the powerful tools of
music therapy and
art therapy enabling children with special needs to express themselves, regardless of their verbal and motoric capacity. This is accomplished by using music and art in its many forms and styles to nurture a child's emotional, physical, sensory and cognitive development. Each child is
assessed individually and placed in a music and/or art therapy group where they enjoy ensemble playing and group interaction.
Volunteers work with the children and are an integral part of the Heartsong program. Beneficial outcomes include increased self-esteem and self-confidence, development of social skills, enhanced communication skills, increased attention span, and enhanced motor skills.
We are determined and honored that Heartsong continues to provide a quality music and art therapy program created for the children and for their extraordinary families whom we serve. Our success is not by chance. It is the result of our focused leadership, dedicated teamwork, local volunteers and the ongoing support of our entire community. Through the generosity of so many, we have been privileged to serve over 1,000 children and their families since Heartsong’s
inception in 1992. Heartsong continues to make a lasting contribution to the life experiences of the children, their families, the volunteers and the community
