Frank Duemmler's Fundraising Page
Steve Martin may be a "wild and crazy guy", but you all know I prefer to play it safe. For once, though, you have the chance to help me go "wild and crazy" for a cause that's near and dear to my heart - an incredible inner-city resource in Bridgeport, CT that is making a difference every day in the lives of so many children and their families.
On February 13th, I will be jumping into the freezing waters of Long Island Sound at Jennings Beach in Fairfield, CT to raise funds for the many programs run by the Burroughs Community Center. OK, you can say it - I'm nuts! Who likes to take a cold shower let alone an outdoor plunge in frigid waters in February? I hope you'll prove my insanity fruitful by donating to this worthy cause and helping all the fantastic people at Burroughs bring new hope to the more than 42,000 community members who pass through their front door each year!
At Burroughs a donation of:
-$25 would provide a backpack for a 5th grade Tutoring member
-$50 would purchase notebooks and pencils for the Quick Start Language Center
-$100 would buy cooking supplies for one week of the Kids in the Kitchen program
-$250 would provide basketballs, dodge balls and jump ropes for After School outdoor recreation
-$500 would provide art supplies for the Summer program
-$1,000 would purchase a laptop to complete hundreds of tax returns during the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program
How far can your donation go?
