On May 10th, I will join hundreds of law enforcement officers from around the country who will bicycle along varying routes, each 250-plus miles to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial (NLEOM) in Washington, DC.

This year, The Police Unity Tour will have over 1200 police officers representing police departments from across the United States. Our route will begin in Portsmouth, VA and arrive 3 days later in Washington D.C., where on May 13th a candlelight vigil will be held at the National Law Enforcement Memorial. On that night, the names of the Police Officers who have died in the line of duty in 2011 will be read before a crowd of thousands.
