UPDATE (31 DEC 2007)
After 48 hours Fred logged 135 miles. Fred was short of his goal of running 171, but you would be suprised how bad your feet can hurt after only 135 miles...
Thanks to all of you that supported KIA WIA inc.
May the families of our fallen, and those that have suffered injury find some measure of comfort in the coming new year.
Warmest Personal Regards,
Fred and Susan Dummar

Thank you for visiting my page. Give if you can!
If you can not make a donation find another way to help the families of the Warriors.
Running a 100 mile race to benefit the familes of Soldier’s has previously been a summer ritual for the Dummar Family.
NOW I have a project for the winter.
My winter project is to support a fabulous organization that is making a tremendous difference in the lives of wounded Soldiers and for the Families of those wounded and killed in the service of our nation.
The running memorials started in the summer of 2004 as a way to honor my friend and fellow warrior SSG Paul Sweeney. Paul was killed in the fall of 2003 in Afghanistan. I ran the Western States 100 in June of 2004 to honor Paul and the summer tradition was born.
In 2005 it was The Old Dominion Memorial 100 in Virginia .
In 2006 it was the Massanutten Mountain 100 and the Old Dominion 100 in Virginia .
In 2007 it was Old Dominion Memorial 50.
Susan will support this new winter endeavor as she has all of my previous runs to raise awareness and funds for Army Families.
This December at the Across the Years run I will attempt to run 277 Kilometers (171 Miles) in 48 hours.

It is my small way of remembering the ultimate sacrifice paid by those that serve our nation while raising awareness for KIA-WIA. They need our support.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is easy....donate now!

But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
