Family & Friends,

On May 9, 2009 I will be running in the Autism Center of Tulsa's 5k and I am seeking your support of this worthy cause.  I will be running for the following heroes:

Catherine, 8; Carlie, 14; Mike, 13; Brandon, 13; and a very special family friend Grant, 11 (pictured)

Grant loves music, church, video games, and spending time with his younger brother and his best friend, his Papa.  Grant is a master speller and has not missed a spelling word in three years.  He remembers everyone's birthday and phone numbers.  Grant's favorite pastime is visiting car dealerships to look at the new cars.  He often tells people when he meets them that he is a "Car Expert".

Grant has made great improvement since officially diagnosed with autism at the age of 5.  He now is considered high functioning and is able to attend a mainstream classroom all day with assistance.  Early intervention and lots of therapies have been key in Grant's continued recovery.
