On the discussion boards, she was know as Dragonfly, offering words of caring and kindness, encouraging everyone to dance around the pond of life.In May 2005, our Dragonfly energized a group of friends to begin a Pennies for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network campaign. Her lofty goal was to provide PanCAN with 200,000 pennies on November 1, 2005 to help launch Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. Her humor, grace and enthusiasm made the project a reality.September 2005 brought heartbreaking news to us all. Our Dragonfly, fierce warrior in the battle against pancreatic cancer, was diagnosed with lung cancer. Through the tears, we promised her and ourselves that we would succeed. On November 1, 2005, our combined efforts allowed us to present the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network with a total of over 200,000 pennies! Our Dragonfly was with us to see this accomplishment. She left us a few short weeks later, promising us she would fly high.We have committed ourselves to continuing Dragonfly's Pennies for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
