As many of you know, my son Justin is nothing short of a miracle. When I found out that I was having a son with a rare chromosmal abnormality, I wasn't given much hope that he would live beyond birth and even if he did, his life expectancy was only 20 months. The doctors released us from the hospital after only four days with the understanding that they were sending him home to die. Well, as you can see, Justin is a healthy and happy 11 year old. It has been a long journey for my family which has been both hard and amazing all at the same time. Many people have lifted us up and stood in the gap for us along the way.

In his honor, I would like to dedicate another wonderful and hard journey, my first marathon, to Justin and everyone who has touched his life and helped him grow and develop into the wonderful child that he is today. I hope that you will donate generously to raise funds for Special Olympics which is an organization that is dedicated to providing opportunities, for special people like Justin, to develop physical fitness and demonstrate courage.
