We believe that every person needs a reason to get up in the morning and have the opportunity to do something of value.
On Monday, October 5, several of us will be getting up early to "walk for a cause" and you can to.
BrightStone exists to serve adults with developmental disabilities and is able to do so through the support of friends, family and community partners. BrightStone does not accept government assistance. Located in Franklin, Tennessee, BrightStone has been changing the lives of adults with developmental disabilities for almost 10 years. Approximately 2 years ago, BrightStone expanded programs and services with the move to a wonderful new 9000 sq. ft. facility. They have increased the number of adult students served to 30, and have two handicap accessible buses. They have served adults from five different counties, and have a future vision to establish a campus and provide residential services. This growth is exciting and I want to help!
Here's what you can do to help. Join us at the GolfWalk. Share this web link with your friends and invite them to join us or sponsor your walking. They can participate by sponsoring you and/or they can join us for this walk and invite others to support them.
We will begin registering for the GolfWalk at the beautiful Governors Club (on Concord Road) at 7:00 a.m. on October5. Then at 7:30 a.m. we'll walk this beautiful course for an hour and then enjoy a light breakfast provided by Sonic. As we finish, we can watch golfers start their day playing golf for the BrightStone Golf Benefit at 9:00 that same day.
We truly believe that BrightStone gives an opportunity, a hope and a future for adults with special needs. BrightStone students are able to develop meaningful, productive job skills and successfully produce attractive gift and home products for retail sale. BrightStone is truly a unique and extraordinary place, expanding the potential of adults who are mentally and physically disabled in a loving, caring Christian environment.
