Helping Kids Live
Thank you for visiting our personal fundraising page and taking time to consider donating to what we think is an incredible cause and need - the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and their Ride 4 Kids fundraising event. We are very pleased to report that our little friend, Cassie, continues to make progress and we pray for good long-term results.
Others aren't as fortunate. Unfortunately, a friend's 11 year old nephew passed away last year when his tumor came back for a third time. Another Dallas area boy who was a friend of a friend also passed away this year. Brain tumors continue to kill more kids every year in the US than any other disease. We pray we can help stop that and appreciate your help in the fight for these kids.
(Sept 12, 2006 update: Garrett, the teenage son of good friends Jeff and Missy from our church had brain tumor surgery just yesterday afternoon and we hope and pray that it was benign and he recovers. It just reinforces to me the need to really invest in finding cures for these kids. Thanks for your help.)
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts. We'll be attending the Dallas-Ft Worth area Ride 4 Kids and perhaps the Houston ride as well. Hope to see many of you there. For us, it's a family effort. Our 5 year old rides with us to help his friend, Cassie and others.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!

ps For those who want to know that their donations are really being used, you'll be pleased to know that the PBTF foundation has the highest rating available from the CharityNavigator.org charity watchdog and rating site. It also keeps its overhead low and has historically put more than 90% of the donations directly to work for the kids through research and treatment programs.
