THE WALK:

The Buddy Walk was established by the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) to promote acceptance, awareness, and inclusion of people with Down syndrome and to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October. The Buddy Walk has evolved into the single largest awareness vehicle for Down syndrome worldwide.  At least 250,000 people are expected to participate in more than 275 walks this year.

Join us for a family-friendly, fun filled day on the University of Richmond campus(Shine: Milheiser Green; Rain: Robins Center) on Saturday, October 11, 2008 (11AM -3PM), to include:

          * Live entertainment 

          * Lunch

          * Raffles & Silent Auction

          * Organizations that support individuals with Down syndrome

          * Walk around beautiful Westhampton Lake

Support Addison:

As many of you know, Addison is a gentle and sweet little girl who has come very far in her nine years.  She is blessed with many loving friends and family members who support her along the way.  Addison loves her school and High School Musical.  She earned a Gold medal in the 2007 Special Olympics state games. Most of all Addie loves to be included and treated like any other kid.
